This year we’re playing by our own rules. While most brands are gearing up for the usual Black Friday frenzy, we’re taking a different approach this year.
Our Pre-Game Sale is happening early, from October 9th – 23rd, with the best deals you’ll find on OXB in 2024. After that, we’re narrowing down to a Core Collection of about 25 key pieces—our Star Players—plus our customizable collection for the holidays.
Here’s why: Black Friday originally started as a way for companies to clear out excess inventory and make space for new items. We’re doing just that—but instead of overstocking just to sell at a discount later, we’re being intentional about what we offer and when. By getting our holiday deals to you early in October, we can avoid the November/December rush and the pressure to compete for attention during the busy season. As a made-to-order business, buying in bulk to sell at massive discounts simply isn’t viable for us like it is for bigger brands.
Rather than trying to keep up with those big plays by increasing our ad spend and competing in a crowded space (and inevitably passing off those costs to you), we’re focusing on a streamlined holiday offering. You can get the holiday discounts that you’ve been waiting all year for while still supporting a business that prioritizes quality and sustainability. By clearing out inventory in October, we’re setting ourselves up to deliver our very best through the holidays, without cutting corners or overwhelming you with too many options.
We’re not playing for quick wins. Instead, we’re playing the long game. We’re going into Q4 with a plan that makes sense for our small business—so you can count on OXB to keep delivering quality, thoughtfully made jewelry that lasts. Plus, for the first time in 5 years, no one on our tiny team will be working on Black Friday.
